Step 1 — Create your account

Go to laylo.com/auth and create your account.

Choose between Pro Monthly, Pro Yearly or Enterprise plans based on your needs. Each offers varying features and scale.

Step 2 — Register your custom phone number (priority)

Do this first. Registering a phone number can take 3–5 business days, because phone carriers need to approve you before you can send mass texts. During that time you cannot send texts or collect phone numbers.

Go to Settings > SMS to claim a custom phone number and start your registration.

Step 3 — Add a custom email domain

This is required before you can import fans into Laylo.

Go to Settings > Email to add your own custom domain. This helps build SEO and email reputation, which increases your deliverability.

Step 4 — Connect your integrations

Link your Shopify, Instagram and ticketing platform under Settings > Integrations.

  • Shopify — link your store for merch drops and sales.

  • Instagramintegrate your Creator or Business account for direct fan engagement.

  • Ticketing — sync your ticketing platforms to collect fan data seamlessly.

Step 5 — Import your fans

Add a custom email domain before importing your fans.

Click the Fans section, then Upload CSV to get started. A few things to know before you begin:

  • You'll need a blank sheet in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, saved or exported as a comma separated value (CSV) file.

  • Before migrating your SMS contacts into Laylo, clean your list. Otherwise your upload will contain both opted-in and opted-out subscribers. It is against Laylo's Terms of Service to market to contacts who have not explicitly opted in to receive communication from you.

Make sure to select the option to upload “new fans from an external source.” Then follow the steps and agree to the compliance terms

REMINDER - Please include an accurate screenshot and link of the form where your fans submitted their phone numbers. If we do not have this, our compliance team will reject your import, and it could delay your list being uploaded.

With your submission, you have to include a welcome message to let fans know that this is the new phone number that you will be messaging them from. This text only goes out to the new phone numbers you are adding to your Laylo.

REMINDER - If you are porting over your old custom phone number from another platform into Laylo then a welcome message isn't required. Please fill out the form anyways. Just write that and explain it in the text box for the welcome message so our compliance team is aware. We won't send a message.

Step 6 — Invite your team

Follow these steps to add team members such as managers, marketing reps, agents and labels.

Step 7 — Create a drop or tour drop

Drops are landing pages that automatically remind your fans when your event, merch or content is released. Follow the walkthrough on creating a drop.

Your drop is where you can use Laylo's advanced features:

Step 8 — Edit and share your profile page

Even when you don't have an active drop scheduled, you should always collect signups using your Laylo profile.

Your profile is a public link where fans can join your list anytime. You can edit this page at any time in your Profile settings by following these steps.

  • Add your social links (Instagram, Spotify and so on).

  • Set up a custom RSVP card to collect fan data even when no drops are active.

  • Embed your RSVP card on your website and social media channels.

Share your Laylo profile everywhere — get inspiration and best practices in Get fans from social media.
